1966 VW Delux 13 Window - All original
Original Seablau L 360 & Cumulusweib
It's birth date is March 03, 1966
It was improted into UA = Los Angeles
A lot of the early Volkswagen buses came to Alaska through military personnel stationed here. While cleaning this one I found a 1970 hand written day pass to Fort Elmendorf.
It has the original engine, drive train and electrical 6 volt. I haven't had a chance to try and get it running. I put nice used tires on it so it rolls and brakes for moving and shipping. The body is straight and it has the original rockers, which look to be solid. The dents can be seen in the photos. The front has a dent under the drivers side. The lower drivers side doors hinge has busted from the door side. The front floor pan needs to be replaced. The roof has multiple dents from the Alaska snow and ice sitting on it. I didn't want to pull the nice headliner down to try and pop them out. The headliner is clean accept for a few tears in the back. I've thought about pulling it down, straightening the roof, and patching the headliner but I'm selling it as is.
It does not have the rear bench seats. It does have the original front driver and passenger seat but no rear seats. It has the original speedometer, Sapphire radio, ash tray, and clock. All of the door and cargo panels are original.
Comes with a bonded title for shipping. Please let me know if you have any questions. I can provide more photos and will be updating photos of the Delux as I get it more cleaned up.
Thanks for looking.
