1978 Volkswagen Convertible
Previous buyer's daughter really wanted a red one.
While the plates show Montana, and they are permanent plates, this car is a California car. The owner's estate owned a ranch in Montana and they registered all of their vehicles there. This Beetle is like you would expect for a California car, no rust. It runs great and will keep up with freeway traffic.
The top, headliner, turn signals and tires were all replaced recently by the estate as the owners intended to keep this Bug for a long, long time. It's been thoroughly checked out by my mechanic and has received a clean bill of health. You can get in this car and enjoy the top down drive.
Recently inspected and found to be extremely straight and hit free.
That said, this car is 41 years old. No quirks, but it does have drum brakes and is probably not a great first car for your kid. The clutch works great and it shifts cleanly into all gears including reverse. We've driven this car over the past two months with no issues. It starts right up with a turn of the key.
Questions: Please call Tom at 619-807-8770 or John at 858-212-5396.
Bid to win, you will not be disappointed.
