1979 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible, the Volkswagen Beetle was first introduced to the American car market in 1949. Worldwide production of the Volkswagen Sedan ended in 2003 in Mexico. In 1978 and 1979 the only Volkswagen Beetles imported to the United States was the Convertibles which was coach built by Karmann in West Germany. This Volkswagen Beetle Convertible was built by Karmann in December of 1979 making it one of the last Volkswagen Beetle Convertibles ever built and one of the last original Volkswagen Beetles sold in United States. This Diamond Silver Metallic Volkswagen Convertible is a two-owner car which underwent a high quality repaint which involved total disassembly of the body and removal of the original interior. It was then re-assembled utilizing the original interior. This Volkswagen Beetle Convertible appears as new condition.
