Car description |
---|
Selling my 1973 VW Bus. This has been out of the rust belt and in the dry climate of SW Montana for many many years. Which means the body is in great, rust-free condition. No rotting panels or floor-boards or wheel wells.
Everything is operational on the vehicle. Motor has received new oil cooler seal, new push rod tube seals, new rear main seal. Has Dual Weber 34 ICT carburetors and an aftermarket electric fuel pump. Included with the bus is a carb rebuild kit.
Also included is a VW gasoline powered auxiliary heater, not installed. Comes with spare 5th wheel rim (no rubber). 3 person rear bench seat, with seat belts. Driver and passenger seats with seat belts (Note: that the drivers seat needs re-upholstering). Custom wood floor and interior side panels. The headliner could use some attention, currently there is some insulation material fitted, but could easily be removed for stock headliner.
The bus has not been my daily driver, but has been permanently registered (MT) and it fires up in even the coldest conditions, idles, and runs. Great for taking to a river for fishing or kayaking, or a Sunday drive down main street.
