Car description |

Selling a rust free 1961 Volkswagen Beetle. Mileage shows 69,xxx.Body and pan are matching numbers. I was told the engine is also original to the car. I checked the date code, and it is correct for 1961.

The 1200cc engine starts right up and runs perfect. The 4 speed transmission shifts perfect. You couldn't really ask for a better running and driving Beetle. The brakes work perfect. All electrical (headlights, tail lights, horn, windshield wipers, etc.) all work. The right turn signal is currently not working (lights up on speedometer but not outside). It is still 6 volt. All tires were recently replaced and in excellent shape. The heat also works.
There is no rust that I have seen on or under the car besides the slight bit of surface rust you see on the body and spare tire area.
The paint is in decent shape. It has some good patina. In my eyes, the only downside is where a previous owner has touched up the front fenders with paint. The driver's side appears to have had some dings that someone tried to cover up with body filler.
The interior is the weak spot of the car as to be expected for being the original interior from 1961.
Please ask any questions you have before making offers. I will be happy to send any additional photos or videos that you would like.
This car would make an excellent driver as is or a great candidate for a restoration, since you wouldn't have to deal with rust. The car is sold on a bill of sale which is all that is required in Georgia. When it came from another state, Georgia wouldn't issue a title due to its age. I have sold several vehicles out of state that require a title, and they have been fine with just the bill of sale due to Georgia not requiring them.I do still have the title that a previous owner had in Tennessee.
Non refundable $500 deposit required though PayPal within 24 hours. The remaining balance must be paid via wire transfer or cash in person. The car will not leave my possession until funds are cleared.
I am available to meet with a shipper most days after 4:00 and pretty open during the weekend. I am also off work the entire Thanksgiving week and am pretty open to meet with a shipper that week.
