Car description |

For sale is my 1966 VW bug. Solid running, driving and stopping daily driver. The car is registered and I have the pink slip in hand.
Rebuilt 1776 dual port motor with new Empi Carburetor by James at the Buggy House in Hayward, Ca. He also installed a newer used front beam. Its running 2-1/2” drop spindles with new steering box. Rear was readjusted higher to help keep the bearings lubed as well as improve the drive quality. Transmission is tight with no issues and is run using a Scat shifter. Still runs the stock drums with new flex brake lines in the rear. Rolling on Porsche style rims. Rear tires are practically new and front tires are in good condition. Newer TMI interior installed by previous owner. Sale comes with new headliner. Previous owner also installed a newer radio which uses your cell phone to play music through. New 3-point seat belts installed in the front. New leather grab handles from VDUB HUB. Heater channels are intact. There is the typical rust underneath the battery. There is a crack in the pan behind the passenger seat where the PO patched. Has a great overall patina which made me interested in the bug in the first place. Comes with the roof rack. Stock steering wheel with horn ring (un-operational). Headlights and brake lights are functional but could use a new wiring harness in the future. It is missing the wipers and motor. James at the Buggy House quoted $300 to install.
Yes, she has rust. She is over 50 years old! Its amazing what little rust she does have! She is not far from being a perfect car, but she is far from perfect and I feel that she is priced to reflect that.
