Car description |

1979 Volkswagen Bus, with a 2.0 liter fuel injected motor, ans a 4-speed manual transmission. This bus has low original miles, only 74,731 original miles! This VW Bus runs great, starts right up every time! The motor is strong, and the transmission and clutch work perfect. The brakes and suspension have no issues. The interior is in decent shape, and the body is solid (mostly surface rust). That being said, this bus has been mostly sitting for the last 5-years, so it will need tires to be road worthy, and all of the rubber fuel lines should be checked to ensure there are no potential leak hazards. I replaced the line from leading from the fuel tank to the fuel system, but that's just because it had a visible leak.
This bus has a newer fuel tank, and exhaust. It has been well maintained, and has only been driven sparingly over the last 15 years. It has been sitting under some pine trees for quite some time, so the body has considerable surface rust. The body over all is very solid, with most of the rust being just surface rust. There are a couple areas that could use attention, but it's just fine as-is. The undercarriage is super solid, with the only hole being a minor one in the driver floor. Check out the pics, you'll see how solid it is.

If you're looking for a great late-bay bus, this is it! It's the perfect restoration project, or a great driver to enjoy as is. I will be happy to get any additional pictures upon request, as well as answer any questions that you may have.
This vehicle sold as-is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Serious bidders only!! $500 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end.
