Car description |
---|
I have owned this convertible Beetle since 2014. It was purchased in California. Since I've owned this car it has been continuously garaged. I have only used it to drive my grandchildren around occasionally in a convertible. This Beetle runs great. I just recently had the following work performed on it:
New gaskets & seals in engine, replaced spark plugs and wires, changed oil, cleaned oil strainer, reset valves and replaced belt. Replaced rear wheel cylinders, rear brake shoes.
This car is the Karmann version with the simulated wood on the interior. The silver paint is in very good condition. The convertible top is black canvas and looks like new, with a glass window in the rear. I don't know if the interior was original or if it is seat covers, but there are no tears. The seats and the door panels are a combination of black vinyl with black & white tweed fabric. The only damage I can see is the narrow cracks on the dashboard. When I purchased the car the previous owner had a dashboard cover held on with velcro on top of the dash. There are a lot of auto parts dealers who deal in VW parts where you could purchase a new dash. Mileage shows 6,465; however, due to it's age, I'm sure it has turned over.
Like I mentioned previously, this Beetle runs great and is a lot of fun to drive around. If I didn't need the money, I would keep it.
