Car description |

Automatic transmission
Bostig “Ford Zetec” engine conversion (2009) with 55,000 miles
219,000 total miles
Newly rebuilt transmission
New battery
New bra
Original rear hatch bug screen
Roof rack, crossbars and 2 sets Yakima rollers and saddles included Our family has enjoyed many miles of adventures around the Pacific Northwest in our VW Multivan. Like full VW campers, the Multivan has a pop-top roof with an upper bunk and the rear seat folds down to make another bed below. It sleeps 4. Unlike full campers, it doesn’t have the built in kitchen, and because of this it seats 7 and travels lighter when not camping. It’s a more versatile vehicle. Far fewer Multivans were produced, thus a nice one is harder to find.
The Bostig engine conversion provides ample power that standard VW engines are notoriously lacking and much more peace of mind. “The only conversion designed and built for reliability and low total cost of ownership, the Bostig Vanagon Conversion System has proven itself the simplest, most consistent, easiest, and most reliable choice to repower a Vanagon.” Mechanically excellent and cosmetically very nice for its age. Our family has sadly outgrown it.
