More information:We are not the first owner. Prior to Utah, t was in Southern California. It was repainted at 86,000 miles by the original owner during a restoration. The only rust we can see are two spots below the rear window...each approx. 1/2" in width; photos of those areas are included in the listing. There are no rips, ears, ildew, r any other issues with the tent. The Vanagon has passed all safety regulations and emissions (see posted certificates). Automatic transmission operates fine, o slippage. Coolant: added as necessary VW grade coolant (with no phosphate as recommended in the VW manual).Heating and air conditioning work perfect. Rarely driven in the winter months because it's not good on ice (RWD). Regularly serviced. Photo of the rear hatch: shows a sheepskin blanket covering; this is just a wrap to protect it, nd is not attached. We purchased this 10 years ago, nd since that time have only driven it 27,400 miles. Oil: used exclusively20/50 Valvoline with zinc. Recovered front seats and door panels shortly after purchase. Major repairs completed: We havehad a complete tune-up including Bosch-style spark plugs, lug wires, istributor cap and rotor, nd a 3-step fuel system flush. Re-sealed all external gaskets on transmission; replaced coolant pipe and coolant expansion tank; replaced driver and passenger window regulators; replaced brake master cylinder; replaced driver's side cylinder head; replaced oil pressure center; cost of all major repairs = $4,650. This is a worry-free, afe vehicle.Vehicle title is clear. Upholstery and carpeting (coco mats)cost was $1,500.
