1973 Volkswagen ASI/Riviera Camper (Westfalia)

The good: Motor runs strong, ith a Weber 32/36 carburetor. Pertronix installed. It does drip a bit of oil, ut nothing serious. Transmission shifts fairly smoothly. The seats were recently recovered, ith new foam. I installed new H4 headlights and Hella tail lights. The bed mechanism works well. There is a jump seat. There is very minimal rust. The pop top works well. All electrics work, ith the exception of the rear defroster. The tires are good, ridgestone Duelers. The electrical hookup works well. No water or gas hookups. There is a water tank, f unknown condition.The bad: The rust is just under the passenger step and the passenger front floor boards. Nothing major at this point, ut you will want to address it at some point. The windshield is cracked. The heater needs to be reconnected. The wiring works, ut there is some extraneous wiring that needs to be cleaned up. Some of the screens need repair. The refrigerator is not original and I do not know if it works. A new issue just popped up, robably with the warm days. The fuel pump will lose prime after about 30 minutes and cause a stall. However, eprime the fuel pump and it fires right back up. I will be wrapping the existing fuel lines and pump in heat tape. In addition I will include a brand new fuel pump with the vehicle.I have some new parts that go along with the bus as well. Most notably oil filters, lugs, ires and distributor cap.I will ask for a 25% deposit upon successful purchase. The balance will be due before ownership is transferred. I will not pay for shipping, or will I deliver the car. You are responsible for picking up the vehicle at your own expense. I will do what I can to assist the buyer by providing access, ut that's it.
