1959 TRIUMPH TR3A. EXCELLENT GROUND-UP RESTORATION WITH EXQUISITE COACHWORK.

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very pretty TR3A in superb colors. This car was just purchased from it's older owner from the state of North Carolina where he noted that the car originally was delivered to Georgia when new. The car was completely disassembled approximately 6 years ago to undergo a total ground-up, body-off-the-chassis restoration to high standards. This car is a factory-fitted 4-speed Overdrive car and still retains the OD gearbox today. Other options include adjustable steering wheel and chrome wire wheels.The body and paintwork on this car are superb. It's one of the best TR3A's we've had with such a high level of craftsmanship with regard to panel fit, body, and final paint finish. It's outstanding. All metal repairs look very good. Brightwork is mostly new items with some original items retained. The car's windshield is the original. All body rubber has been replaced.The car's interior has been retrimmed with blue leather seats which feel very comfortable and supportive. The wool carpets, panel kit, dashboard have all been renewed with the addition of correct front rubber floormats. Weather equipment fits the car very well, being made up of quality dark blue cloth material. The sidecurtain set has been nicely restored to match the soft top and new Robbins tonneau cover, which is still in the box.Mechanically, the previous owner said the engine and gearbox have been rebuilt. There are receipts totaling over $25,000 that are included with the car. The car's engine starts easily on the key with excellent oil pressure, no smoke or noises, and revs robustly with very good power going down the road. The gearbox, clutch, rebuilt brakes and suspension all operate well. The car is fitted with a new stainless/chrome 60-spoke wire wheel and radial tire set (4). Underneath the car looks really superb with rebuilt and detailed mechanicals, suspension, new exhaust, beautifully painted frame and matching body-color underbody.Please view the video to see the car driving on the road. The previous owner stated that it had only been driven 30 test miles since it's restoration !Overall, a lovely and popular TR3A Roadster in a rare and superb factory color, having undergone a ground-up restoration recently.
