Original 1973 TR6. Unrestored, matching numbers survivor. (2nd owner since 1984). Full engine rebuild at 75000 with new rings, valves, guides and big end bearings. Correct Laycock Overdrive gearbox, aftermarket Petronix electronic ignition, reinforced rear suspension points, sealed gas tank, stainless steel exhaust, all suspension bushings and U-joints replaced along with front & rear brake pads. All gauges, lights, horn work. New rad, alternator. NOT A SHOW CAR but mechanically and structurally very good and a great looking, awesome sounding, solid performer. Newer paint and roof. Many NOS parts (brakes, clutch cylinders, radiator) install last year. Buy now and run it in the spring. Please note that the body panels dings and spots were patched some years 20 years ago; acceptably but not show quality. The frame has been strengthened, re-enforced at rear suspension points after consult with mechanic (see below). The car is currently licensed and I see no reason why it would not pass a safety check. Downsides; Heater fan works intermittently, washer jets should be replaced (parts included), wipers are pretty lame. Cosmetic issues : Paint is 5 years old and could use freshening. Right side wing mirror not yet installed (included). Upsides: No rust. Starts first time, every time. Sounds great and pulls really well. Re; frame. A professional mechanic / fitter researched the car and recommended stiffening the diagonal cross beam from the exterior to interior rail. The result is a stronger than original frame. A solid, fun daily driver but will require care (and some degree of mechanical aptitude). This is the car as it is. Not all positive but then it's almost a 50 year old car.
