Car description

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very attractive and honest early TR-4 Roadster, one of the first 10,000 units made. This car was just purchased from it's caring New York owner who drove, maintained, and restored the car during his ownership. This is a rare factory overdrive car as evidenced by it's "O" suffix on the VIN number. The body on this car appears excellent overall with good gaps to most all of the panels. Front and rear valances are superb, a sign this car has led a careful life...The car received a modest respray some years back and is perfectly fine for a nice driver. There is a thin spot/repair noted on the passenger door. The paintwork overall is nice and glossy with no issues. Chromework is a mix of freshly replated bumpers and some very nice original items. The car received lots of fresh rubber, door fuzzies, seals, windshield seal, etc.The car's interior trim is in great shape overall. The panel kit is new, along with a nice and correct black loop carpet kit. The dashboard is attractive with it's signature early Spa White painted facia and glass bubble gauges. The top pad, crash pads, switch plate all presents nicely. The correct early style seats are supportive and comfortable. There's an added rear seat squab for smaller occupants. The soft top is new and fits well. The car's underside is exceptionally clean and nicely painted/detailed showing a stainless twin exhaust system. The engine bay is lovely and is very sanitary/ nicely painted. The car runs and drives very well with it's correctly sequenced engine. Tires are fresh on a fantastic set of new, period-looking alloys that really enhance the car. The car is currently fitted with a four-speed gearbox, but included with the sale of the car is the original 4-speed Overdrive gearbox, fresh back from the rebuilders with receipts.Overall, this totally usable and very attractive early factory overdrive TR-4 Roadster is a rare offering with such a good, honest body and pleasing cosmetics. It's ready to enjoy in it's very approachable condition.
