Car description

  • This 1959 Triumph was acquired from an estate settlement liquidation --- I believe the model is designated as TR3 or TR3A
  • The last 2 owners going back many years were both members of a Triumph Club so there are some extra parts, literature and accessories that are included and all go with the car (everything you see pictured)
  • I'll try to be as complete with description as possible --- I don't know much about these cars and I'm sure I'm leaving something out so if you have questions please email or you may call my business phone between the hours of noon - 6:00 PM Central Standard Time Zone at 816-578-5555
  • BODY --- I would say solid with what appears to be an older paint job and I'm sure it's had some body repairs at one time or another --- looks like original color was probably a lighter shade of yellow
  • WHEELS & TIRES --- The Wheels, Tires & Knock Off Spinners are all brand new with zero miles on them --- wire wheels look like they are probably stainless steel and the tires are Michelins, the previous owner said they cost over $2,000.00
  • INTERIOR --- Very presentable, seat coverings in good condition
  • DASH & GAUGES --- dash and gauges are excellent with nice lettering, detail and no cracks in the lenses
  • STEERING WHEEL --- I believe original and there are no cracks
  • WINDSHIELD --- Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, looks like it might be original, says TRIPLEX
  • COCKPIT COVER --- looks like new
  • CONVERTIBLE TOP --- looks like new
  • RUNNING CONDITION --- Did start & run up on the car hauler, but not very well I'm sure because it's been sitting in the garage for a long time according to the previous owner --- it has old gas and has been driven very few miles in the past 10 years or so --- probably needs some fresh fuel, new fuel filter and maybe the carbs cleaned &/or rebuilt --- so it does run for sure but will need some tlc for sure to get all the bugs out
  • EXTRA STUFF --- includes a new exhaust pipe & muffler tagged Made In England, lots of books & manuals including an old service manual, a manual start engine hand crank, 4 spinners (used), a wooden spinner wrench, some tools and test equipment --- also in with the papers is a receipt for a transmission rebuild which was done in August of 1998 in the amount of $819.00
  • NO RESERVE AUCTION which means this car will sell to the high bidder
  • Payment methods accepted are bank wire transfer or cashiers check which will need to be verified --- payment in full must be received within 7 days of end of sale which should be more than ample time for buyer to make arrangements --- a deposit of $250 via PayPal is due in 48 hrs
  • Title is clear and will be reassigned, transferred and delivered to buyer along with a corresponding and notarized bill of sale immediately upon verification of payment in full --- please do not bid if you can't pay --- Thanks, Terry
