Car description

I bought this TR3 in 1981 in Colorado. The first couple of years i took the car completely apart, except for the 3rd member and the transmission. When I had the money, I had each piece dipped and stripped, and rebuilt the motor. I received surprise orders to North Dakota so I painted her and towed it to North Dakota. Then after several more relocations she landed in Panama City. She has always been garage kept even in 20 below zero weather and my wife would park out in the driveway. In 2000 I decided to have an import mechanic do some work on her: align steering, new voltage regulator, gear reduction starter, major brake and suspension work. After 6 months and $3000 I drove her regularly for about a year. lAfter that she stayed in my garage and rested until I retired and had the time to work on her again. I repainted, new master cylinder and reservoir, new clutch slave cylinder and etc.I repainted her withacrylic enamel. Not the best paint and body work but she looks pretty good from 20 feet away. Great at 25 feet. The only rust damage is the lower dog legs. I repaired them the best I could but they had not changed in 39 years. She starts, runs great, and stops. I have been driving it around the neighborhood, but I have not registered her again so Ihave not gone too far. There is only 1500 miles on her own power after the rebuilt back in 1984. Like most Triumphs she leaks a little ail.All lights and gauges work except the speedometer and fuel. I have replaced the sending unit so Ibelieve the problem is in the wiring. The speedometer has never registered but it does work so I think the problem is at thetransmission. I am including an extratransmission.I am also including my extra parts and book collection with the purchase.Thank you for looking at my listing. I have learned so much from working on her over the years. It has been a joy owning her.
