Car description

TRIUMPH TR3 RESTORATION PROJECT FOR SALE

For sale is a 1959 Triumph TR3. The car has been with us for many years and- before getting to that point where it needed a restore- ran well. The engine has been a good performer, but does build carbon in one spark plug. The engine last started about eight years ago- I would believe it would fire up again after hooking it up- but couldn't say for sure.

There isn't much rust on the frame or body. It's been garaged for the last eight years and hasn't seen moisture. There is one bad spot (see the frame photo taken) that sidelined the car.

I've tried to include as many photos as possible to give you a true idea of the project. There's many nice parts here, but it will be a sizeable project for whoever purchases this. No missing parts and some extras. Trim in decent shape- the carpet has spots that will need cleaned and will definitely need new backing. The floors will need replacing, as will the batter box and rockers (typical for TR-3's).

The instruments are average. Tach gauge didn't function, though I suspect that was due to the cable. All others were okay though. I do have a couple of extra fenders. You'll see the after-market steering wheel installed. (original on hand too). The driver's seat is in good shape- passenger's side needs repairs.

There's quite a bit to describe. Please contact me with questions. Be sure to ask questions before bidding. I'll try to reply asap, but can't promise that I'll get to all replies same day.

Title is clear and I'm in the process of updating that with the DOT. It's been off the road for years and there's some paperwork to be done there.

Note: you are responsible for trailering and transporting.

I'll be listing locally too and reserve the right to remove it from EBAY if it sells here. A $500.00 non-refundable balance is due within three days after the auction ends. The balance in full is due within ten days of sale date. I will store the car here- no charge for that time. If I have to store it longer, a storage fee ($25 daily) will be charged. Again, you are responsible for transporting this.

Final payment is due in cash or wire transfer. If you need to pay by any kind of check, the check will have to clear my bank before the car will be released (includes bank transfers).

I'll work with buyer on any issues that come up. Contact me with questions- thanks for looking!
