Car description |
---|
This is a 1973 Triumph TR6. It's been off the road for a few years but it was stored inside and it's history for the last 30 years is known. It's never been restored and once you look past some surface rust you can see a very solid worthy car to restore. Also, it has wire wheels rarely seen on a TR-6 and a cool aftermarket hardtop. It is fairly complete and missing only front turn signals, center grill surround, rear tail lights, front seats, and some minor interior trim. I have period Amercan lowback seats included if the buyer wants them and doesn't care whether the car goes back 100% original.
I havn't heard the engine run but it easily turns and from my experience with these motors it wouldn't take much work to get it running. I planned on getting it to run and doing the brakes and driving it as a patina rod Triumph but I'm swamped and it's time to thin the herd. This car appears to have never been painted and the bodywork is shown as is rather than buried under a bucket of bondo and a shiny paint job. There is some rust on the outer rockers, floorpans, and in the spare tire well in the trunk. The body panels look great as does the underside chassis. I've had a handful of these cars and know where they tend to rust in the chassis and I've looked closely and could find NONE. Please email me for a more detailed picture link and if you're local then you can inspect yourself.
This car is currently registered in Georgia. Georgie doesn't require titles for this year car and its current registration acts as a transferable title for those who live in other states and it is good for the required paperwork for those who wish to export the car to another country. I've put a low reserve on this car and expect it to sell. If you're interested in a buy it now then please message me to discuss.
