This 1 of 6990 1971 Triumph TR6 is presented in Code 56 Royal Blue exterior with code 11 Black interior. 1971 was the last year that Royal Blue was offered on the TR6. This particular TR6 was the 1,623rd one built in 1971 to be exported to North America. All TR6 sports cars featured inline six-cylinder engines. For the US market the engine was carbureted with two Stromberg's that put out around 104hp with 143ft lbs of torque at 3000rpms. The TR6 featured a four-speed manual transmission. An optional overdrive unit was a desirable feature( this one does not have it ) because it gave drivers close gearing for aggressive driving with an electrically switched overdrive which could operate on 2nd, rd and 4th gears on early models and 3rd and 4th on later models because of constant gearbox failures in 2nd at high revs. Both provided "long legs" for open motorways. TR6 also featured semi-trailing arm independent rear suspension, ack and pinion steering. This TR6 has Pirelli 205/70 R15-inch wheels and tires, ile carpet on floors and trunk/boot, ucket seats, nd a full complement of instrumentation. Braking is accomplished by disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The TR6's construction is fundamentally old-fashioned: the body is bolted onto a frame instead of the two being integrated into a unibody structure; the TR6 dashboard is wooden (plywood w/ veneer). This TR6 has had the suspension completely rebuilt in the last month. Please call Kennith Stewart at 1-877-689-6930 for more information.
