1987 Toyota Pickup Truck 4WD Gray Standard Cab 22R Engine Starts & Needs Repairs.I personally purchased this truck in 2002 when it had 141,000 miles and have owned and driven it since then. It has been a reliable vehicle. The engine starts up and idles, but the truck is not currently in fully drivable condition until further repairs have been made. The tires are in good condition with plenty of tread remaining - All 4 tires were replaced in 2010 at 195,689 miles. A new battery was installed in January 2018. The CD player is in working condition. The windshield wipers work and the blades were recently replaced. The truck was recently worked on at my local Garage when it was having issues with engine stalling, and sluggishness going up hills - The Carburetor was replaced, and the Valve Cover Gasket and Serpentine Belt Idler Pulley were also replaced (April, 2020). The Technician diagnosed some other repairs that were recommended (but not performed) :-- Front Pinion Seals, new exhaust (tail pipe is missing), Valve cover gasket leaks (there is a lot of valve noise), Shaft seal on transfer case leaks, Belt is cracked and loose, Air Filter needs replacing, Clutch fluid low (clutch may need replacement soon). The truck body has multiple areas of paint loss and some rust spots. There are a few dings and dents in the bodywork, but nothing major. Some rubber window seals and pieces of chrome trim are missing. The truck bed has been largely protected by the canopy for many years, but still has a few rust spots (example shown in last photo). The latch on the tailgate broke a few years ago and the wire needs to be pulled manually from inside to open the tailgate - the original panel was removed to allow access to the tailgate mechanism wires (I still have the panel - see photo #5). The windshield reservoir leaks. The lights work, but not the full-beams. The engine leaks oil. The 4WD mechanism works, but the manual dial on the front left wheel does not return completely to the "Free" position. The aerial for the radio is snapped off.The truck comes complete with the original Toyota tools kit for accessing the spare tire (located under the truck bed) and a jack (not original) plus a 1987 Toyota Truck Owner's manual.Local Pickup Only. This vehicle is not drivable and will need to be towed to its final destination.Further photos can be provided upon requested. Feel free to contact me with further questions (360-661-7298).
