2ND GENERATION (1984-1988) 4x4 HILUX PICKUP:This rare 2nd generation 4x4 Extra Cab pickup was made 1 year only with the 22RE and the straight front axle. It's a rust free classic well maintained survivor that runs & drives as good as it looks.22RE (2.4L EFI):Legendarily reliable 22RE 4 cylinder engine runs like a sewing machine. Starts every time with a turn of the key. No smoke, no knocks, and absolutely no leaks. It features the 1st ever mass produced multi-port fuel injection engine using a block hardened with more nickle content than even 60's era American muscle cars. Upperengine was recently rebuilt with new timing chain, tensioner and guides along with refurbished cylinder head. Comes with receipts.

4 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:A340 automatic transmission shifts smooth and concise as designed. No leaks. Fresh fluid and filter. The A340 is considered among the most reliable automatic transmissions that humans have ever engineered. The floor shifter was professionally removed and the 6 bushings inside it were replaced with new factory bushings to it feels tight like new with none of the typical slop those shifters can develop over time.
2 SPEED TRANSFER CASE:The factory 2 speed transfer case shifts and engages 4x4 smooth as designed with no leaks. The shifter has new bushings so there's no slop. The factory Aisin manual lockout hubs are stronger than any hubs Americans have ever engineered.
SUSPENSION, WHEELS & TIRES:New front and rear shocks. Steering has been upgraded with a rebuilt IFS gear box and new All Pro high steering which is superior to the factory push/pull setup and significantly safer. Truck is tight with no rattles anywhere. 31x10.5x15 BFG All Terrain radial tires with plenty of life are mounted on 15x7 Toyota aluminum rims. The new leaf springs add a couple inches of lift so you'll be able to clear 33" tires or bigger.
BRAKES:New ceramic disc brake pads installed on the front. New rear brake shoes, wheel cylinders and hardware installed on the back. Stops quick and tight.
DIFFERENTIALS:Both factory differentials were professionally rebuilt with new bearings and Yukon 5.29 gears. There's no leaks and the gear oil is fresh. A Lincoln locker spool was added to the rear differential. The front is open carrier.
INTERIOR:The interior is all original except for the radio. All the lights, signals and gauges work as designed. The AC blows cold. The heat blows hot.
FRAME & BODY:
Truck has absolutely no rust except for some minor surface rust in the bed where the paint has worn off. It's never been wrecked so the paint is original. It did have 1 parking lot incident in 2010 that dented the passenger door. A used door the same color was obtained and the parts transferred. If you look real close you can see that door is just a hint off in shade compared to the body. There's also a few normal chips and dings plus a small dent on the driver's side under the extra cab window. The bed has been bobbed with 21 inches removed creating exceptional departure angle when 4 wheeling. A custom front low profile steel bumper has been added which is not only stronger than stock but also has a lower profile and better departure angle.

Clean and clear "A" box original miles Arizona title is notarized & ready to go.
INSURANCE:This truck is 35 years old. It's rust free rarity means it goes up in value every day. It's been eligible for historic plates in most states for going on 5 years now. That means it's eligible for Collector Car insurance from outfits like Grundy Worldwide or Haggerty which costs only about $12 per month for a $10,000 full coverage policy. That's right, a stated $10k full coverage insurance policy is only about $12 per month and, get this, emissions are forever waived. Again, Collector Car Insurance means no more emissions and a cheap monthly nut on Full Coverage insurance.
