Beautiful 1974 Toyota Land cruiser FJ 40 in outstanding original condition. One of the most coveted years of the FJ40's with the classic round bezel. 83069 original miles on the stock Inline 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed transmission. Meticulously maintained. We are the third owners. Original owner was from California, second owner bought it in California in 2000, then moved up to Washington. It has ALWAYS been garaged, and we never drive it in the rain. Comes with a complete cover and storage bag (see picture). With the advice of a service technician, the smog pump belt was taken off 10 years ago, for better performance. Just took it through DEQ (Dept. of Environmental Quality) and passed with flying colors 2 months ago. Recent full tune up, runs and drives excellent. Only ethanol free (E0) premium gasoline has ever been used in this engine and it purrs. Brakes work perfectly, as does the emergency brake. Warn Heavy Duty Front hubs, four wheel drive (both High and Low) work perfectly. HFS (Hell-for-stout) front bumper with a Warn 8274 winch with a manufacturer's date of 7/8/1974. It is in mint condition and perfect working order. Brand new 31 X 10.50 BF Goodrich Mud Terrain (KM2's) T/A Radial tires (including the spare) with less than 10 miles on them. Original wheels and hubcaps (including the spare) in excellent condition and still have their original paint on them. The suspension is all original except for new shocks and steering stabilizer. Original Paint (Toyota #621) on the entire vehicle is in great condition (inside and out). The hood is showing some slight "patina" and only adds to the character of this vehicle. I looked into repainting just the hood, but just couldn't do it. I will leave that up to the new owner to make that call. This vehicle has never been wrecked or had any panels replaced. In fact, you can see the original paint under all four wheel wells and under the tub when you get underneath it. There is 6 coats of wax on this entire vehicle right now and it shines! Stock rear bumperettes from the factory and a rear step to access the roof rack, on the rear of vehicle. There is a four prong flat light adapter wired in on the rear of the vehicle, for pulling a trailer. Also a U-haul light adapter is installed, and both neatly tucked up away under the rear of the vehicle. The second owner towed his belongings to Washington, from California. Interior is in excellent condition. Original seats (front and back) have no rips or tears in them. Rear seats still have the factory straps! All 4 seats have the original working seat belts. The headliner and visors are excellent, no rips or tears. All glass has the original Teq labels still on them. Including the windshield! Original front and rear floor mats are perfect. Was just offered $500 for them when I drove it into town last week. The paint under the front and rear mats is original and in good condition (see pictures). All gauges, lights, heater, fan, wipers, windshield washer sprayer, interior light, seat belts, windows and doors/locks work as they should. Additional vacuum, fuel PSI, and Tachometer gauges. Even an old-school Lev-o-gage and quartz LED clock. Factory AM radio, antenna and speaker system and it works perfectly! The factory glove box has the Barens model 400 Hone Overdrive plate installed on it. I asked the previous owner about it and he said he didn't know anything about it. Apparently, this vehicle has/had it, but neither one of us know anything about it. I do however have a manual someone sent me with information about it, it will go with the vehicle. Comes with the original bottle jack under the driver's seat, factory tool kit, and original jack handle bars behind the rear seat in their proper homes. (See pics). The top on this FJ40 has NEVER been off. Neither have the side or rear doors. I asked the second owner about it, he told me the original owner didn't want to take them off because he was afraid to break the seals. The original paint is still on the bolts required to remove them! The interior paint is all original and like new as well. Factory seals are still intact and in good condition. The top, side and rear doors are all removable. Windshield folds down and hooks to the hood. There is a Con-Ferr Inc roofsafari rack installed. Comes with a shovel, axe and 2 Off-road Halogen lights (see pictures). Currently licensed through March of 2018, clear Oregon title, in my name, in hand. The 74FJ40 Personalized Crater Lake Oregon plates will go with the vehicle if it is purchased by an Oregon Buyer. Buyer will also get the original owner's manual, original shop manual and 2 sets of keys.(see picture). If you are looking for a versatile utilitarian vehicle, This is it!
