Samurai for Sale
1990 Fuel-Injected Samurai for Sale ..... Original Condition
Pro's: Original condition, aint, tc., uel injected. Never beefed-up with changes, ike lift kits, onster tires, r used off road, tc. None of that. Has 47,XXX original Carfax miles since new. Radio is AM/FM, D Kenwood, ith 4 speakers. Engine starts easy. Runs fine and shifts smoothly. No weird noises anywhere. No leaks, t's dry underneath. I bought it from elderly owner of a car dealership in South Carolina. Original 1.3L engine and 5 speed stick. Trusted mechanic I've used for 27 years went through this Samurai from bumper to bumper right after I bought it. He's the only one who has ever done the mechanics on it.Since I've owned itthe following items have taken place: New unique soft top (from Italy) that easily opens up for plenty of air flow. Changed all fluids, nstalled new stock-size tires so speedometer reads correctly, new hoses, an belt, new brakes, new wheel bearings andservice, new battery, rofessional wheel alignment, ll new exhaust from behind manifold to tailpipe, ncluding OEM Suzuki muffler and tail pipe (a very hard/impossible to find part). All new clutch and flywheel (started out as flywheel replacement....somebody before me tried to engage starter with engine running...not a good idea), new carpet installed front to back (at that time I could tell that the floor pan was all rust free, nd new OEM rubber water drain plugs installed). Seldom driven in winter, nd only when the roads were dry and no snow/slush. Heater kept up fine. I drove my pickup on those days. I placed tension rods between back stock Suzuki speakers to keep them in place (don't like to drill holes). No sheet metal rust, ot even on bottom side of doors or tailgate.
Cons: Has 2 or 3 small rips in driver's door skin where seat belt hits. And imperfections (have to hold driver's seat belt button in when latching it, nd 2 or 3 small surface rust spots on rear bumper - an easy fix). Door "stop straps" are dry rotted from age, ut I have new OEM Suzuki replacements that will go with it. A couple paint chips that have come with age, g., oor hinge on driver's side and below passenger side headlight. Needs little knob on end of trip odometer stem. Needs computer replacement, s I understand things, a $400 fix?) to correct it for a rough idle after starting in weather below 25 degrees or so. It smooths out after about one minute, nd I rarely (almost never) drove it in cold Iowa weather anyway. Left it parked in garage and waited for spring. But I do think it's good to get any vehicle out and drive it on occasion, ear 'round. Point is.....if you don't drive it in below 25 degree weather, ou'll never experience this temporary cold-start rough idle. This is all the bad stuff that I can think of. I do want to represent this little truck as accurately and fairly as I can. Hope my pictures will help tell the story.
Why am I selling? I'm retired, nd it's time for something different. Sold as-is and where-is. It's up to buyer to provide their own pick up arrangements and transportation details. I have a reference to a carrier I've had success with if that might help the new owner. Please, o tire kickers, ow-ballers, tc. I'm setting a respectable reserve, nd if I don't hit it, hen obviously no Ebay sale. I also am trying to sell the Samurai locally, o if that happens, t'll be gone.I will communicate with Ebaybidders immediatelyshould that event take place.
