1956 Studebaker Golden Hawk Project Car
This is a Project Car living in California and off the road since 1965. Non running or driving project car that rolls and steers. Previous owner said last time he started the car was @ 1996 but was running when parked.
Body: Pretty straight body with common Studebaker exterior rust around the removable panel areas example: wings, lower trunk filler panel, lower door and fender panels, lower hood area, ect . Floors have some surface rust and possibly some small patching needed, trunk, and rest of the car seem very solid. Nice body with some lots of potential for the ambitious! To be clear, the body does have rust to repair however the frame and other parts are very solid.
Interior: Complete interior including factory seats, power windows with factory green tint, power steering and power brakes. No A/C. Interior needs to be completely restored,
Brakes and suspension: Suspension is all stock as well as the brakes. Should plan on restoring the system.
Engine and Trans: Engine and transmission are non running nor operational. Car has not started since 1996 However was running when parked. Original V-8 that we believe is a 352 CID with automatic transmission. We have not tried to start the car because you will likely need to oil the cylinders as well as replace rubber fuel lines ect. Buyer should assume to rebuilt the drive train.
Exhaust: Stock manifolds with dual exhaust however mufflers are missing, tail pipes are included.
Wheels and Tires: Stock Rims with hubcaps, Tires hold air but should be considered rollers.
Parts included: Some exterior trim not seen in the pictures come with the car. The side moldings separating the wings are missing. The rest of the trim was removed many years ago and wrapped up in paper. Those come with the car.Things to know: This is a non running non driving project car. Car will need rust repair on portions of the exterior and likely needs a full restoration. Car will come with old California Title and bill of sale. Previous owner bought the car in California in 1975 and never registered it. Long off the DMV system. LOW RESERVE AUCTION
Don't miss out on a great opportunity to own an Awesome american Classic! RARE
May be interested in some trades but prefer cash. I'm a Chevy guy so i'd look at Nova's Camaro', side by side like rhino, dune buggy, 30's hot rods, other projects, or?
