Car description

This AC AutoKraft Mark IV Cobra is in excellent running condition with outstanding provenance. This car is collection worthy, track-day star, and/or tour leader. This car is accepted in all automotive circles. This example is priced to sell and is an outstanding value considering its condition and provenance.
Provenance: This car was celebrity owned by Ralph Riskin, who at the time was the director/producer of the TV series "Dukes of Hazzard". In fact, Ralph featured the car in a 1984 episode, "The Dukes Go to Hollywood". Mr. Riskin became a dealer for AC Mark IV cars in California. The car was featured in many magazine articles including two Road and Track feature articles, April 1985 and May 1987. It was entered at the 1984 Pebble Beach Concours de Elegance. This car is listed in the Shelby registry noting its lengthy history. I have extensive documentation and spares that accompany this vehicle.
Engine: Ford Boss 351 Cleveland The engine was recently restored with its original boss heads and intake manifold. The crank is a 4340 steel stroker crank with I beam rods and forged 9.5 to 1 pistons. The block has four bolt mains which was precision honed to accept 400 cu. The cam is a 640 solid roller gem which has a beautiful lopey idle. The engine produces in the neighborhood of 425 hp at 7,000 ft. in elevation. At sea level expect an additional 14% in output.
Transmission: 5 speed "Doug Nash". This hand built racing transmission is in excellent condition and was built to handle the stress of high torque applications.
Body and Interior: The body and interior are in nice original condition showing some patina in the interior. The Connelly leather is still soft and the wool carpets are still presentable. The body has a few minor dings in the lower body section from an off track excursion at "Sears Point". It was hot lapped by a previous owner at a SAAC event. Overall, the body is in very presentable condition. You will be very proud to own such a fine automobile with this level of provenance.
