Car description

1967 Shelby Cobra. Kevlar Body-titled as 1967

Shell Valley Classic Wheels Replica.

Factory authorized professional construction.

This Cobra was professionally constructed by one of Indiana’s most acclaimed replica manufactures.

This is the only replica that is constructed with a Kevlar reinforced body (much stronger than fiberglass that cheaper replica manufacturers use) and utilizes the Custom tubular A-arm front suspension.Stronger-than-steel" Kevlar materials for a body that's as strong as it is attractive. It is not a thin fiberglass body like a Factory Five body that needs reinforcement around the hood and fenders. The quality of Shell Valley bodies are evident inside and out, - and underside too! Underneath the body, the floor pan is smooth and finished for that "show car" look.

The frame is as smooth and clean as the body. At 60,000 lbs. minimum tensile strength, Shell Valley doesn’t just guess it's strong - They know it is! The latest suspension techniques are used to produce a superb ride while maintaining the handling of a sports car. For the front suspension you have a tube type A-arm for a much cleaner look. Alton Coil over shocks on the front and rear can be adjusted to match all driving conditions (road or track) and provides proper ride height.

This cobra is Viper Red with white rally stripes. The car has 3 coats of Epoxy paint which was a professionally applied $10,000 paint job. The painter provided meticulous attention to detail.

The car has leather seats and custom leather door panels. Interior has a leather dash with all Auto-meter Gauges (Amp, Temp, Oil Pressure, and Fuel, 8000 RPM Tach, 180 MPH Cobra counterclockwise rotation speedometer) and clock. Snap down floor mats are easily removed for cleaning but hold in place while driving. The car has power steering, AM/FM single disc radio and a chrome roll bar. There are leather rock protectors on the leading edge of the rear fenders, which have saved paint damage.

This Cobra is powered by a Ford 351 Winsor engine (estimated 430 HP) that was totally rebuilt less than 3000 mile ago. It was bored .30 over, with Edelbrock 7182 cam, roller rocker arms and high velocity, high volume oil pump, Edelbrock intake and carburetor. It has a Ford 9",3:50, posi-traction rear end and a T-5, 5 speed manual transmission. The original clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing were replaced with Ford Racing parts when the engine was rebuilt even though they were not worn or in need of replacement. The battery has been placed in the trunk with a well concealed safety disconnect.

The rear suspension is a 4-link triangulated system similar to what NASCAR is running and is now appearing on the Fords and Chevys. Shell Valley Classic Wheels, Inc. has been utilizing this design for several years. Cam Bentley of Car Craft Magazine says "The triangulated 4-link is the best solid axle rear suspension system available."

I have full documentation and every receipt for all work ever done on the vehicle since I purchased it eight years ago and nearly all of those associated with the original construction.

The tires are new (less than 1800 miles) Cooper Cobra’s and the rims are American Racing Mags with chrome knock offs.

This car has been entered in several judged shows over the last eight years and has been awarded every time, including “Best of Show” awards several times. It won a top ten in the Ray Skillman Ford, July 4th, 2015 show which had more than 250 entrants.

The car comes with a black tonneau cover that snaps over the cockpit and zips down the center. It also has a camel tan soft top that has compact bows for easy carrying in the large trunk area.

There are two small, nearly undetectable spider marks on rear finder. It has not been repaired since it is so unnoticeable. There are no other imperfections.
