Relisted due to non-paying bidder who never even responded after the auction. Please only bid if you are serious and want the car.
Very nice 1965 Factory Five Shelby Cobra. Car is an absolute beast with a 427W stroker from the Engine Factory that produces over 500HP. This car absolutely flies but is also easy to drive around town (but it's the most fun opened up on twisty roads!). Factory Five is probably the most popular kit there is and very well respected. This car was built with new parts and was built with the focus on performance. It looks great with Mazda blue paint (so chips are easy to match) and white stripes blended in. The engine does not run hot and get's looks wherever it goes. This car probably weighs in just over 2,000 lbs so when you figure the weight to HP ratio you really cannot beat these Cobras. And this one is even more impressive as it doesn't have just a 302 but instead boasts a 518 HP monster of an engine. This car rumbles and just rips with high HP while still being light in front for balanced performance. And with the aggressive Halibrand style wheels and low profile performance tires it holds the road (and gives it an amazing, aggressive stance). If you are looking for bang for your buck performance and a car that demands attention anywhere it goes this is the car for you. And there won't be a single car out there that will want to challenge this car at a stop light!
Here are some of the build specs:
Crate engine built and supplied by the well respected Engine Fatory (cost over $10,000 new for the engine alone)Blue printed and machined 351W block machined to accepted stroker crank shaft and stroked out to 427CI.Scat forged steel 4.170 stroke crankshaftH Beam connecting rods 6.200" in length with ARP heavy duty connecting rod boltsPower forged 10.5:1 compression SRP flat top performance pistonsJ & E Chrome Moly ring setHeavy Duty double roller Dynagear timing setComp Cams Hydraulic Roller lifter camshaftClevite H series racing bearingsAluminum Fast Burn Edelbrock Victor Jr. CylinderElectronic MSD Billet DistributorPort Machined intake runners with stainless vales and hardened valve locks and chrome moly retainers HD springsCanton low profile rear sump 7 quart oil pan, baffle, and oil sump screenFord oval single quad air cleaner5 speed transmission3 link rear suspensionDisc brakes all aroundSheet metal inserts for the engine bay, wheel wells and trunk area
Let me know if you have any questions. The car is located in Buffalo, MN. I invite and encourage seeing and inspecting the car in person as it can probably sell itself better than I can. It's a good solid car that was built to run, perform, cruise and enjoy.
The car is being sold without any warranties stated or implied and is being sold as-is. I try to be as upfront and honest with the descriptions as possible but I do encourage people to come and see the car in person so they can make their own decisions on condition. Please only bid if you are truly interested in purchasing. Shipping is the buyers responsibility to set up and pay for.
