Royalty on wheels. This 1985 Silver Spur has very low miles. I have put a lot of work into it after it was not driven for many years after the original owner passed away. Some small touch ups here and there left. I purchase the vehicle for $16,500 March of 2011. I have over $15,000 invested in the last 3 years with most of the work done by my local Bentley dealership and the rest by a British car expert in Jacksonville, L. My loss is your gain.Drove it 300 miles in a day last week. Ran great! The service completed in the last 1500 miles includes: Transmission complete removal, heck and seals replaced. Replace Air Recirculation Valves and hoses Rebuild Alternator and replace belt Replace Air Conditioning hoses and some fittings. Update to R134 Replace Spark plugs, lug leads(wires), eplace distributor and rotor arm. Replace valve cover gaskets Replace rear brake pads Replace Rear axle hub seals Replace Right Rear taillight assembly Replace several fuel lines and seals between the fuel tank and fuel pump Of course oil changes and a coolant change Most of these were just needed due to age and the low mileage. She is running and driving very well now and should continue to do so. Storage is not a friend to these vehicles. A little further back the wiper motors were replaced; Oxygen sensors replaced (about 4 years ago-less than 3000 miles) There are a few cosmetic issues that still need to be addressed. Front quarter panel has a chip in the paint and the rear has a similar issue. Otherwise, very nice 30 year old Rolls Royce. The power seats should be a relatively easy fix from my research, ut their position suited me fine(work well for someone 5'9" to about 6'2", o I focused on the mechanical updates. Car has a true charm about it that has to be experienced. Selling because our family is growing and we need to buy a family vehicle and the Rolls is a hobby car...so just trying to free up the funds/garage space for a Suburban/Yukon XL
