The history of the this special Porsche cabriolet begins in San Diego when a doctor purchased this rare black over black example new and used it as his daily commuter from Descanso. CA to his practice at Paradise Medical Center located in National City. CA. He utilized this beautiful machine through March 1972 before selling to a fellow doctor with 109. 91 miles on the odometer. This new owner later moved it to Winter Park. FL in June 1973 where it remained through 2015. Having just two owners since new. it makes this Porsche an extremely uncommon find in today’s market. and a Porsche never offered to the public a second time since offered brand new! All service records were meticulously maintained from the second owner and will be provided to the new. lucky owner. Every oil change. every valve adjustment. replacement part. and every tune up was religiously kept in a notebook for any future owner to admire. This mechanical & cosmetic restoration was overseen by Troysport Performance based in Orlando. FL. It included a complete freshening of the engine once again with new upper end gaskets. pushrod tubes. 3-angle valve job with new intake and exhaust valves. valve guides. & valve springs; fresh Bosch ignition. and a new exhaust system connected. It was professionally tuned and dyno tested upon completion. A total overall of the brake system to include 911 dual circuit master brake cylinder. rubber flex lines. all new hard lines. all wheel cylinders & shoes were installed. New outer rear wheel bearings were packed & installed along with fresh transaxle mounts. axle boots. and input shaft seal. This left only the cosmetics to be completed and a total exterior repaint was commissioned to Scott Tomarazzo Auto Body in Winter Park. Florida. With the body stripped of all chrome and windshield glass. the results continue to be outstanding today! The interior received an all new dash pad. German square weave carpeting. front seat upholstery in leatherette (originally leather). along with fresh door seals. window seals. and weather stripping.
