Car description |
---|
This is a remarkably well preserved two owner Porsche 928 Coupe. This is a very early car with the unusual Pasha interior and five speed manual transmission.
I pulled this out of a garage in Chicago having bought it from the second owner. The last two pics are of the car exactly as I found it prior to cleaning. The car had sheep skins on the seats (I've retained them but removed them for photos), the original owners manual and appears to be entirely original.
I bought it from the second owner who stopped driving it several years ago due to age and health. The roof has been repainted but the rest of the paint appears to be very good original.
The engine bay is clean but not detailed. The interior is also virtually original. The leather seat sides are faded but in good shape. They will come back with a careful redye. The dash has two minor cracks in it.
The underside is solid and rust free. Overall, the car is really good with no rust or accident repair.
What have I done to the car?
Full tune upFull fuel system flushCleaned the injectorsReplaced the fuel pumpsChecked tires and brake system and found all to be good. Finally, we cleaned it.
It is a really comfortable car. We have driven it short distances but it will need more sorting to be a reliable driver.
It is a very early 928 with the two features that collectors appreciate (five speed and Pasha interior). This was the 1015th 928 built.
All of the electrical items work. The gauges all work as well.
I will consider buy it now at any time throughout the auction. We are a Porsche specialty shop and can finish sorting for anyone as well. Overall this is a lovely car with great bones and low miles.
Please feel free to call me at 860-883-3998. I will entertain offers throughout the auction. Please feel free to call.
