Due to the pandemic I am taking a sudden “early retirement†and thus selling a few of my cars before my wife and I move back to the Midwest to be near our family. Unfortunately we will be going from a 3 car garage to a single car garage so my bad luck could be your lucky day. I bought this 928 recently from an older customer of mine. Her elderly husband suddenly passed over the last year and she was selling off a few cars out of his collection and she offered this one to me, knowing that I had a soft spot for it. I went through 3 of these 928s back in the 80s and 90s and have always been very fascinated by them ever since I was a child! Her husband had searched the country for a clean, black, low mileage example, and purchased this car in January of 2018 out of South Dakota for $34000. The ownership on the carfax shown at January 2019 is simply from when the title was transferred by the estate after his death, from his company name to her personal name. I have a free and clear Texas title and the car also has a clean carfax and Autocheck. Also included with the car are the owners manuals and pouch as shown. I have a folder full of records including:Oil change 32600 miles on 5/2020.Rebuilt steering rack 8/2016.Mass air flow meter replaced 2/2015.New PS reservoir & hoses 6/2008.Alignment 7/2008.Tires 7/2008.Hood shocks & speaker 6/2007.Trans service, intake gasket, fix flappy, replace temp sensor 8/2004.Refurbish Bosch ecu 10/2003.Timing belt service, water pump, thermostat, coolant service, battery, trans service, trunk struts 23k miles 9/2002.Brakes @ 21k 5/95.Fuel hose & heatshield recalls 6/1991.I have put approx 50 miles on car since ownership and it’s ran like a champ with no surprises. The ac has been converted at some point to R134 and blows nice and cold. The tires are flat spotted and are over 10 years old, so should probably be replaced if you plan on driving it, even though the treads fine. The fuel gauge did act erratic (Jumpy) a few times which as many of you 928 buffs may know is a typical 928 issue, I believe 2 of my 3 previous 928s did the exact samething. But it does register fuel correctly. The plastic spare tire cover and the spare tire hold down bolt are missing. The owner did have the spare tire out in order to attach a maintainer to battery so I’m assuming she misplaced these items in the process. I didn’t want to rummage around in the garage of a grieving widow to find these as she was already emotional enough during the transaction. These few parts should be easily obtainable from 928 Intl. or other sources. The car has been updated at some point with an Alpine CD player that works and sounds fine. The seats had some armor all type stuff on them, which is a huge pet peeve of mine, so I used some good leather cleaner to remove it. They need a good leather conditioner applied but as you can see they look amazing. The rest of the interior looks great too as shown, the rear hatch leather panels are not warped, and the dashboard looks fantastic, has one small crack in middle of front near the windshield as shown. As you can see from the photos and videos, the car is in amazing condition inside and out. I contemplated having a professional detail and paint corrections completed on it but decided it would be more proper to show it in its actual condition so that you see the car exactly as I purchased it. Sorry if the amount of photos may seem excessive but I’d rather give you to many than not enough, and I am glad to take any other photos or videos at your request. In mid May of this year the local Ferrari dealer completed an oil change where I took the underneath photos that are shown. i tried to get good shots of the frame rails, trunk tub, suspension, engine etc and as you can see there are no surprises. There’s typical scuffs on the rubber lower front bumper spoiler/valance, due to how low the front sits. As you can tell in the video the car shifts smoothly and runs like a champ, and sounds like a beast! There are some small misc rock chips here and there as shown but really it’s even less then I would expect on a black car with such low miles. I can’t stress enough how nice this car is and I beg you to come see it in person if at all possible here in San Antonio Texas. Since I am going to be out of a job in a matter of days I should be able to meet you and show the car at anytime you’d like!
