Car description |
---|
1969 matching numbers Porsche 912. Smooth shifting 901 5 speed manual transmission. Complete engine rebuild in 2010 with 86 mm pistons, re-manufactured (mag-flux, polished, balanced) crank, Tricom cam, new distributor, electronic ignition, new Weber carbs. Powder coated engine tin. Runs strong.
Engine number: 4094087Case: S 116444 616/40
5 Speed Transmission: 901.301.101.0R 30/68
Interior is in good condition with what I understand are original red seats with black insets. Carpet is worn at drivers side, passenger seat has taped tears on side as seen in photos, rest in good condition. New windshield, headliner and body panel rubber with repaint in 2008.
This is a beautiful car with fully polished Fuch wheels and low profile Pirelli tires. Straight body with a few paint nicks as seen in pictures, but very presentable- turns heads and gets compliments every time it's taken out. I am selling because it is rarely driven- Less than 2,000 miles since 2010 rebuild estimated (speedometer does not always work). Car has been garaged since I acquired it from southern California in 2002.
Floor pans and rockers are rust free and intact. Only rust is in the bottom of the "smuggler box" as seen in photos.
