1987 Porsche 944 bought as potential race car. Alas, our team does not have the time. It has been garaged since purchase 2 years ago. The engine ran, but had a loud knocking sound. A local vintage Porsche mechanic suspects the starter or the gasket between the engine and transmission (but, he doesn't have the time either). Replacement starter purchased and still sitting in box with the original. Car is now a project with a clear title, an impressively intact body and interior looking for a Sixteen Candles fan to bring her back to life.
