Car description

The right look, four-on-the-floor, and plenty of power from the V8 - this 1968 Pontiac GTO is everything you want from a true muscle car icon... and there's even an A/C interior. So it's amazing you can get such a well-finished GTO for quite an obtainable price.

Verdoro Green is the factory-correct color and it sets the tone nicely. After all, the late 1960s were all about earthtones, but this color also had a bit of a deeper tone that belongs on a muscle car. They even gave this one a modern clearcoat respray so that the clean body really pops in the sunshine. But in never loses that vintage vibe. In fact, this has all the right classic GTO elements, including the dual hood scoops, badging, wide dual exhaust tips, and Endura front end (exclusive to real-deal GTOs in '68.) We love the hideaway headlight option, and with a some servicing these will be fully functional again. Plus, Pontiac's Rally II wheels are practically legends all on their own. So it's great to see them complete, right down to the PMD center caps.

Black interior always look like they are ready to get down to speedy business, but you can also tell they made some nice investments in keeping this one comfortable, too. The seats, door panels, dash, and headliner all have a quality look that signals they made the right investments here. The upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning make this a great coupe where family and friend want to go for a ride. Of course, you don't need any of them to have fun in this GTO. The bucket seat, armrest center console, and three-spoke steering wheel signal this is a driver's machine. You've got an upgraded Hurst shifter and the hood tach is the 1960s version of a heads-up display.

This GTO no longer has its original engine but has been given a 70's period 350 Pontiac powerplant. Crisp hoses, bright valve covers, matching air topper, and Pontiac's hallmark turquoise block give this a nice presentation. So you'll not only talk about this upgrade, but you'll happily show it off, too. The V8 inhales deeply with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock hi-rise intake. And the big motor exhales with authority out of the dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The Muncie four-speed manual transmission put you in the center of all the action. Plus, you have power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and sway bars front & rear.

This is a powerful real-deal GTO that retains its correct colors and intimidating attitude, and it also has all the right upgrades. Don't miss out, call today!
