Car description |
---|
This is a very nice 1978 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 hardtop that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. This car is equipped with a 400ci Pontiac engine (not numbers matching), 4 speed manual transmission and Vintage air conditioning. I am listing this T/A for a friend and can answer almost anything about it – if anyone wishes to speak with him directly I can put you in touch.
The exterior is in very nice condition, there are some blemishes here and there. This is not a 10 out of 10 show car, it is a very nice driver. The paint has a nice shine and the decals are in great condition. The trim and glass show minor wear, the 17 inch Year One wheels and Nitto tires are in like new condition with very few miles on them. The low stance was achieved using Detroit Speed lowering springs front and rear – this car looks mean.
The interior is in great condition and has been recently upgraded with new Procar seats, a custom console with cup holders and a new steering wheel. The rear seats, headliner and carpet are all in nice condition. The Vintage air conditioning functions correctly and blows nice and cold.
The 400ci Pontiac engine fires right up and sounds incredible through custom exhaust with an H-pipe, stainless two chamber mufflers and correct splitter exhaust tips. The 4 speed manual transmission shifts as it should and the rear end has an Auburn posi unit.
The undercarriage is solid with no repairs needed, custom subframe connectors have been welded in. There is some normal seepage from the drivetrain, typical of almost any classic car. The trim/cowl tag is missing, there are partial PHS documents that will come with the car.
Maine does not issue titles on vehicles 1994 and older, this vehicle will come with the previous registration which will allow this car to be titled in any state. If you have any questions about this just let me know. True mileage unknown, mileage may go up slightly as the car is still being driven occasionally. Shipping will be at the buyers expense, deposits are nonrefundable.
