Car description

A Little "Greench" History…The Greench is an original 350HO Firebird. It is a true 1968 convertible with manual transmission from factory turned 400. So, since it wasn't a matching numbers car I went in the opposite direction with the restoration. I turned it into a modern interpretation of what a 350HO should be. Starting with the power plant, "The Greench" has a 5.7L LS1 engine. The computer came from an early 2000's Corvette and the Tremec 6 speed came from my 04 GTO. The drivetrain is completed by an aluminum driveshaft and 3.73 gears. The car has Hotchkis' tubular suspension and a big brake 4-wheel disc kit from Wilwood: 13" discs with 6 piston calipers in the front and 11" discs with 4 piston calipers in the rear. Brakes also have an adjustable front to back proportioning valve. The interior is accentuated by an all carbon fiber gauge kit from Autometer and the bucket seats from my 04 GTO. Hood tach and dash tach both work. The color is Pontiac's 1968 Springmist Green with a little extra hint of green. This color is so beautiful and transparent it's like looking into a 3D mirror. Under the sunlight the car looks a silvery light green. Under the shade it looks silver. And in the dark the car looks dark grey or charcoal. It's a spectacle to behold. Emblems and decals are all custom made. Emblems are all mirrored and say LS in black with the 1 in green acrylic with carbon fiber underneath. The side stripe has the "The Greench" logo where the "HO" would be. The "The Greench" decal is also on the trunk lid and was stamped unto the seatbacks of all four buckets. The shifter ball has the shift pattern engraved in the font of the car's logo and the color of the car. All decals are a charcoal grey color that matches the grey on the wheels. The stitching of the interior is also in the same light green as the car. It all started with the purchase of a staggered set of Rallye II tribute wheels in the fall of 2013 and by the end of the year I decided to restore the car; and so, off it went to the shop for one whole year. What you see in this page is the end result of my custom restoration. And now it's time to let it go. I haven't been using it much since I got married and I'd rather let it go and be enjoyed by someone else than let it sit and deteriorate. This car is a show and traffic stopper. It has been the star of every show I've taken it to. It will steal the thunder from Lambos and Ferraris looks and sound wise at any show or meet. I forgot to mention, the exhaust carries an x-pipe and a set of SLP Loudmouth resonators. While cruising the car sounds beautiful and reasonably loud. But when you punch it it growls like it wants to eat anything in front of it alive. And the piece the resistance are the green halo headlights to go with the angry sounds. This car has been in four international music videos, a Hollywood movie and a US TV series. The Greench has the usual wear and tear from 6 years of use. A few light paint cracks from hard launches, a few light rust spots on the inside of the doors, and a couple of paint chips; only minor cosmetic issues. Car runs strong (did 15 passes at the strip on a hot summer day in Puerto Rico last summer without a glitch). Car has no A/C, heater or Power Top. It does have power brakes and steering. Thanks for reading!Shipping to the US and elsewhere via sea carrier. Shipping arrangements are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
