Car description |

This 1947 Pontiac Woodie was bought new in California in 1947. It was driven 54,000 miles and parked in 1953, never driven again until 2017. I have all documents including a Photo of the Oakland CA garage it was pulled from after all those years.
The car has had a mechanical freshening. Brake lines were cleaned with denatured alcohol. rubber lines replaced, Master and wheel cylinders rebuilt. Fuel system cleaned properly, original carb rebuilt. New Firestone correct tires. New correct type battery. The car fires right up every time, runs good, shifts good, drives down the road good.
The wood is mostly very solid original. The body wood has zero rot and had a few small repairs By Bob Johnson. Two doors still need sone work, Passenger front door hinge area has some dry rot and very bottom of left rear door. The top wood is fantastic. I have OEM style fabric (that has been with the car for a very long time) that needs installed. All original gutters are here. Infact the car is complete. And does have some extra wood that was acquired years ago.
Body is super straight and 100% rust free.
I have the CA title that matches the original vin and plates. Title is from 1953. The plates have never been off the car.
