Car description |

Same family owned since 1979. Restored 20 years ago. Recently gone through again including rebuilt engine. Has restoration receipts and pictures.
EXTERIOR: The body was stripped to bare metal. Entire front end, doors, trunk and glass were removed. 1/4 panels were replaced, has fiberglass hood. It is a factory red car, repainted 1984 Corvette red. No ugly vinyl top. The paint shows well, very shiny but does have some imperfections. Rubber bumper is good but the paint on it is cracked. Rally ll wheels were recently restored, has correct lug nuts and center caps. Recent BFG tires. New mirror and emblems. Weatherstrips are like new. Rear bumper is shiny but not new.
INTERIOR: It is actually very nice inside. There isn't anything you need to do in here. Actually the dash pad is remarkably nice, no cracks. The upholstery front and back has been redone, door panels, armrests, carpet have been replaced. Headliner has been replaced and is tight as a drum, 1 small hole behind the visor. Factory 4-speed console and a vintage style Budweiser beer tapper for a shifter knob. There is a gauge cluster below the dash and a Sunpro tachometer on the steering column. Has also a modern stereo, 6x9 speakers in back.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 400 was bored, stroked, balanced and blueprinted to a 455 by High Performance Pontiac. This was done just 5 years ago. They used forged internals, ARP bolts, stainless valves, double roller timing chain, new intake and rebuilt Quadrajet carb. New ceramic coated headers. New aluminum radiator, alternator, belts, hoses etc. The entire engine bay is cleaned up and painted nicely.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: All solid metal in the trunk. It does have a spare, no jack. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted nicely, weatherstrip is soft.
UNDERSIDE: Bottom of the motor is spotless, new starter. Rebuilt M-22 "rock crusher" Muncie 4-speed. Has new fat Pypes stainless exhaust with X-pipe, sounds great. Floors look real solid. Steering and suspension looks good.
This is a great GTO for someone with out spending $50,000. A little paint work would bring it to the next level. You would have a great looking, strong running muscle car!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
