This is a 1965 GTO convertible 4 speed tripower project. I found this car way out in the hills of Kentucky. After several years of trying, I was able to purchase it. It was tarped heavily but after years of weather, some damage was done. Here is the bad. Under the front glass, water got in and the dash has a lot of rust damage. I would suggest replacing the following: front dash, radiator support, driver side wheel well, all floor pans (interior and trunk), hood hinges and possibly the hood. The top of the hood is fine but there is rust damage underneath it. There is also rust damage to the trunk lip where the weatherstripping is. Also, I have the front buckets and the top half of the rear seat but these seats are almost gone. I wouldn't plan on using them. Here is the good. Overall the body isn't bad, needs a few lower patch panels. The frame is good. The glass is good. Most importantly, a very collectable 1965 GTO. Ive included an extra header panel and grills. The replacement header panel does need some metal work but it is better than the original. I've also included a 1964 GTO original dash. It is the same as the 1965 and this one does need metal work but is better than the original. The original transmission is still in the car but the engine is not original to the car. It is a 1965 389 service replacement with 77 heads and it is missing the intake manifold. Too many projects so Im cleaning house. I will keep the rally wheels and replace them with other rollers. I have a clear title.
