1973 Pontiac Firebird. I am selling my 1973 firebird that I have had for the last 15 years or so. When I got this car it had no motor or transmission and. Over the past 15 years I have slowly worked. and spent a ton of money on this car making it into a killer street machine. all while keeping it a true Pontiac. I am a ASE certified master tech and have been an Auto Technician for 23 years. and for the last 11 I have been running my own shop. I do performance related work as well as new car repair as well as race circle track on the weekends. I have dome my share of performance related work. Including performance. engines. transmissions. and differentials. All work on this car has been done by me except the body and paint. I am selling my car because times and priorities have changed for me (and If I keep driving it I will probably get arrested shes quick!!) I have spent about 30 k on this car. It does still need some thing to be super nice. like better interior and a trunk pan. Mechanically this car is in excellent shape. It has a 455 Pontiac block. and a 400 turbo trans. 10 bolt rear. I have not had the car on a chassis dyno yet. As you can see it is a well built Pontiac 455 with a solid roller cam and aluminum heads any Pontiac guy will know by this combo that this thing will flat run. Take it to the track bolt some slicks on and it should run about a high 10 low 11. I will do my best to give a good description of the engine and pics. This car REALLY turn heads on the street. Of course anything that can do 35 mph rolling burnouts in second gear will!!!! This car has a beautiful paint job. with European type clear. Its a blue with silver metallic and some color mixed in the clear. In the different light it looks. silver or blue at different angles very nice paint. Paint and body work was 9500. 00. The hood and nose piece are VFN fiberglass pieces. This car was originally a 350 spirit with ac. auto. TRANSMISSIONTransmission is a turbo 400 with good clutches. and a heavy shift kit. Its has a 3500 RPM SMALL 10 inch TIGHT stall Torque converter. The differential is a 10 bolt with that has been built to hold up. Heavy duty staked plate B&M trans cooler. DIFFERENTIALEATON positraction clutch type unit with extra heavy duty spring added for extra holding power. KA axles from toms differentials that are super strongBillet steel bearing cap added to reduce pinion to ring gear deflectionMotive 3:42 ring gear set. The interior is decent now and does not look terrible. But a nice custom leather interior would really round this car out. does not have a stereo. all the dash is there evaporator box from under the hood has been removed. Need 1 piece of rear window trim (I have it somewhere) needs rear Pontiac logo. This car needs very little to be a complete beauty but I have done all the hard stuff. this motor all though has not been dynoed yet puts out some serious Pontiac power and torque it will blow your mind. It probably close to 500 hp at the rear wheels and I plan to have it dynoed. Its currenty registerd and ready to drive it as far as you want. This car will blow the tires off at 35 mph. and cruise at 80 down the freeway all day long.
