Car description

This car is a nice restoration project or could be used as a starting point for cloning into a GTO. It is a 2 door post not a hardtop. The car has most of its sheetmetal and has very little rust. Out of Southern Arizona. The doors. fenders. nbsp; inner fenders. quarters. window channels. floors and rockers are about rust free. Missing Driver's Door Glass. rear window and the engine and trans. driveshaft (one in photo is not right). The some of dash wiring and instrument panel are out of the car. since someone was setting it up for a strip car. but never got too far. The main front core support is solid. but the thin metal shield on the passengers side up against where the radiator would go is eaten up some (see photo ). Call me to go over this car before bidding if you want specifics. Matt 520-591-1320 I'll go to where I have the car talk with you over the phone and send you more photos by email. if needed. Car was originally metalic blue. 3 speed on the column. no sure if it was a 6 cylinder car? The clutch and brake pedals are still in the car. The tunnel has a few places were someone cut some holes. slot for a shifter. This is a Non A/C car. has Power Brakes and Power steering. The dash has some bondo in a couple places. but don't see any real rust up against the windshield. this includes front and back glass areas. Inside the floors are nice. not much surface rust even. The trunk is good as is can be expected in an unrestored car. and there are of course a few extra holes drilled in the trunk for a nitrous bottle. other floors have drilled holes for seats. etc. The rear quarter panels are fairly nice. The area around the wheel openings appears fairly good. maybe a couple pinhols near the rear of the RH opening up about a foot from the bottom. The dropdown extensions from the trunk floor are absolutely beautiful. see photos. There is some bondo skimming over the outer surface of the quarters and other sheet metal in places. but i don't see any signs of actual damage repair inside the trunk. on those areas of the quarters. There are a few places on the front and rear right (passenger's side) corners where there are some dents. near front headlight/ top of fender and on the rear panel and taillight area. The rear window channel is quite nice too. one area of bondo. that I'm not able to see why this was added on the sailpanel? The car's frame. rockers and underside of the floors are really clean. since this is a car from the Arizona Desert. . I have a few pictures of the underside posted. Car has no seats. I have the open title on the car. it has an incorrect mileage statement with the box "B" checked. which means that the car's odometer/mileage is "in excess of its mechanical limits". Shouldn't make too much difference if you are going to start over with a reconditioned gauge package and speedo anyway. What else is there to say? if you have been looking for a good starting point. you know you won't need to go to the expense of cutting floors and patching quarters all up on some rusty body. just to get a good start on your restoration. Pay the price now and in the end. you won't have a car with a bunch of extra seams welded in floors etc. with rust wanting to come back in 5 years. This one is still good at nearly 50 years old. Buyer will pay $500 Paypal Deposit within 48 hours of close of auction this is Non Refundable. I am selling this car in "As Is" Condition. That means. No Warrantee Expressed/Implied and that the buyer is reponsible to come and look at the car. or send someone to look it over on their behalf. Seller has descibed car to the best of his ability. it is one step over a parts car. so there should be no misunderstands that this car is somehow running or operable. I am willing to meet you or your representative to examine the car in person. or I provide additional photos. Buyer assumes responsibilty for shipment and payment by bank transfer or cashiers check within 7 days. I am willing to assist you with holding the car longer on my property if the vehicle is paid for. or if you want to come to pick it up and pay cash on delivery. I can meet your truck/shipper at a reasonable time of day. not at night. I can assist with loading the car. but you must state when asking for a quote to Your Shipper that the car is "Inoperable". This may make the cost of shipping a little higher than a running car. I advise you to findout the price of shipping this vehicle to your location. before Buying the Car. Also get that shipping quote in writing. Shipper or Buyer must present/send along Bill of Lading. in order to take possession of the car. I can mail you the title. once payment clears. but I do not recommend handing the vehicle title over to a truck driver/shipper. unless you know them. I have seen shipping cost change. once they hold the title. (Sad) Thank you
