Car description

I had this car "sold" and knew the buyer. He talked me into waiting to be paid after the buy it now was hit. Money didn't come. and I have been putting off relisting it for a long time. I don't really want to sell it. I have changed the format to an offer. You will not find a more loaded 421 stick shift GP that is this loaded with options and this solid anytime soon. if ever at all. really. It is not a base model car with a 389 automatic. I have had a lot of emails and simply said it was sold. well. it was. but not paid for in full. so here we go . again. I will end the auction/sale when I see a deposit. The engine trunk and one other photo were taken after I washed the trunk out. engine off etc. The trunk is solid and not needing replaced. just sanded and repainted with the trunk paint. The engine cleaned up very nice. The interior is baked from California heat. The org master cylinder is still on the car. not a parts house replacement. notice there is no "bleeder". Engine runs strong. no smoke. or knocks. I suppose you could get a master cyl and drive it home. but that's a stretch. Engine has strong antifreeze in it. not rusty old water. I looked for many years for the right GP to come along. and this one was not really for sale. but I was fortunate enough to get it. I need money more than the vanity of owning it. nbsp;and most of us car nuts don't have the luxury of owning everything we want. myself included. THIS CAR IS SUPER SOLID. SOLD IN CALIFORNIA AND WAS THERE UNTIL 2012 WHEN I BOUGHT IT. BODY IS SOLID. FRAME IS SOLID. RUNS STRONG. NO SMOKE NO KNOCKS. BUMPERS ARE REALLY NICE. THE CAR DOES NOT APPEAR TO EVER HAVE BEEN WRECKED. ALL BODY PANELS LINE UP NICE. UNDER THE HOOD ITS DRY AND CLEAN. NO ZBART OR ? RUST PROOF TAR TO DEAL WITH. NO RUST TO DEAL WITH. THE CAR IS AS ORIGINAL AND UNTOUCHED AS YOU WILL FIND. WHICH REALLY MATTERS. I mean really original and not messed with. SPEED ALERT. LOW FUEL WARNING LIGHT. FLASHERS. PWR STEERING. PWR BRAKES. MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND AIRCONDTIONING. WITH A FACTORY 421. NICE COMBINATION AND LIKELY AS RARE OF A 66 AS YOU CAN BUY. OR FIND. . yes. a factory manual transmission with air conditioning. IF you know anything about Pontiacs or 60's muscle cars. you are aware of what you are looking at now. BUCKET SEATS WITH HEADRESTS. FIRST YEAR THEY WERE OFFERED. YES. HEADRESTS. Have you seen a 65 Pontiac for sale lately with factory headrests. THE SEATS ARE WORTH A DECENT AMOUNT ALONE. EVEN AS CORES. TACHOMETER IS IN TACT AND STOCK. I THINK I HAVE A PHS ON THE CAR. NOT THRILLED ABOUT SELLING. I LOOKED AND WAITED FOR THE RIGHT 66 TO COME ALONG. . THIS WAS IT. BRAKES DO NOT WORK. I THINK ITS JUST THE MASTER CYL. I HAVE DRIVEN THE CAR UP AND DOWN MY STREET MANY TIMES. RURAL STREET . DEAD END. I will put a master cyl on the car if the offer is right. It will then be able to be driven on and off a trailer. OR. I will drive onto a trailer and ensure it is loaded without any disasters. this is not difficult. RECLINING PASSENGER SEAT. THE ONLY RUST ON THE BODY OF THE CAR IS BEHIND BACK WINDOW. BUT INCLUDED WITH THE CAR IS A REALLY NICE. SOLID ENTIRE REAR CUT OUT SECTION FROM A 66 GRAND PRIX. CAME WITH THE CAR WHEN I BOUGHT its a very solid dry California part . THIS IS AS RARE OF A PONTIAC AS I HAVE OWNED OR EVER WILL. MONEY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE VANITY OF OWNING A RARE CAR AT THIS TIME. I WILL REGRET SELLING IT. Its a 3 speed. I think its a Dearborn top loader. very tough transmissions. everybody that looks in the window says. wow. a 4 speed car. do some research on the durability of the 3 speeds. very tough. I know where there is a 4 speed. but not sure if the man wants to sell it. just a 4 speed tranny. not a car. ALSO. I have a 66 BLUE 4 speed 421 HO car. IT is a body. with pedals. tach. nbsp;no motor or tranny. I would sell it for $1500 obo It would be good for a vin # swap into a nice car if you have the matching drivetrain etc but need the car. Email for contact info . car is in eastern Washington. Its restorable as it is. and the vin and pedals etc should be worth something. 421 HO 4 speed GP's are not real common either. If you buy it. I WILL: Help I WILL DRIVE IT ON A TRUCK OR TRAILER>. I WILL. I WILL SEND A TITLE ups signiture confimed. filled out to you the buyer. ITS CURRENTLY IN MY NAME CLEAR AND CLEAN. If by chance you live west or south of here. I may be able to help with low cost trailer shipping. I leave town often. and will be possibly in a couple days. just in case. also. see coast to coast auto transport. good people. you can talk to the owner of the trucks etc. reasonable prices. no monkey businessIF YOU BUY IT. I WILL NOT: let you come stay at my house and restore it. You cannot finish paying for it later. or after you come and then want to dicker on the price. that gets weird quickly. You cant have my wife fix you a snack or a sandwich because you are "starving man". while your cell phone charges from an outlet that you "need to borrow real quick" and you restore the car in my shop/driveway. I wont give you a lift to the auto parts store and find a half inch socket and help you rewire the spark plugs because you got confused. You cant take a shower after a day of working on it either. or even change when you get here. that just gets strange. right?. I will not pick you up at the bus station on a Friday night. so you can restore it over the weekend and drive it home. We will not go on a test drive and hang out at the gas station while people gawk and talk cars. I wont replace fuses because your eyes are bad and you need tail lights and license plate lights to work and you dont want to get pulled over. I don't want to take the car and go grab a strawberry shake at the fanci freeze diner that you saw on drives and dines. I don't want to play triple A if you get to Mountain Home and the fuel pump goes out. I could go on and on about all the antics that I have delt with in the past. and as entertaining as it is to remember them. I wont partake in more. some of these situtation have happened to me. and others that i cant recall at the moment. seriously. sort of funny. Thanks for looking at the car. feel free to tell me Ive overstated the rarity and point to where there are more like it for sale. or even out there. please don't leave your number on questions. I m likely to post it. If there is a specific picture needed. I will take it. AS TIME ALLOWS. Sometimes there are other factors than the price that motivate sellers to sell. with me. it is money. and a perhaps a few other variables. nbsp;and will consider all offers and details etc.
