Car description |
---|
1976 real WX code 455 Trans Am. Last year for 455 and last year for Carousel red. Black interior. Numbers matching engine. Has 15x8 aluminum snowflake tires. It is a low option car without AC and has manual windows. Does have a factory 8-track. This is a rare factory color.
Only major upgrades are snowflake wheels, racing/steel/lakewood bellhousing/subframe connectors (a must on these uni-body cars) and an aluminum intake manifold.
Excellent, unmolested, survivor. Runs great. Drives straight/true. Brakes and handles fine. Has one repaint that is a nice number 2, better than average driver quality paint. I don't think interior has ever been redone - certainly fine for driver quality, but has some wear. One tear in drivers seat (pic).
These cars are great investments. They always go up in value. Pontiac made around 7000 455 cars in 1976 and over 30,000 400/auto cars. The 455 cars are way more fun and valuable. I have a few older Pontiacsand I just don't have the room or time to keep/maintain them. This car has excellent pedigree and is an excellent driver as is..or can be completely restored to show quality if so desired.
Glad to help with shipping as needed. Car runs great and could be driven probably anywhere - although I've never met a 60's/70's muscle car that I'd take cross country.
Questions are welcome! Car color is same as Hugger orange - I live near Clemson, SC - car is Clemson orange - great year to buy this car to celebrate the National Championship.
(SECOND TIME I'VE HAD A BAD BID - DON'T BID UNLESS YOU WANT CAR)
