1976 Pontiac Trans Am with the desired 4speed/455 combo. Probably one of the last true muscle cars of the 70's. As any knowledgeable buyer knows - they made over 30. 00 400auto Trans Am's in 1976 and only 8000+ 455/4speed cars. Last year of the 455. They were low compression and loaded with smog features. but made for an excellent platform for upgrades even in 1976. All you really needed was a new cam. intake and headers and you had 100+ more HP than stock. A smart man once told me if you can enjoy your investments then it is a huge plus. These cars to increase in value - I've not had one go down in value and you can drive it and have fun with it and it'll be worth more than you paid in a few years. You can't drive your 401K and it probably won't appreciate any faster than an old muscle car. This car is in very good shape. It has the original 455/numbers matching. Has the BWarner 4speed. It runs great and drives. brakes great. To my knowledge it does not leak oil or fluids. Does not smoke or burn oil. I'd have no trouble with a buyer driving the car several hours on the highway. etc. after purchase. Tires are good too. I had not started it for a couple of months and it started very easily. The body is very solid. No rust to best of my knowledge. Paint is very. very nice except for a couple of areas on hood because the last guy had cheap chinese hood hinges. I put rebuild original springs in so that is fixed. That and 7/16 heads studs w/ roller rockers are only thing I have done. Only problems are drivers side mirror is missing knob/cable so it has do be adjusted by hand. The passenger door seal is in the trunk - I guess needs replacing. Has a pretty small tear in drivers seat (pic). It is in very good shape and presents very well. Upgrades/changes from stock included the wheels are snowflakes as seen - 15x8 aluminum. Has subframe connectors (I think ALL of these cars should have). Has a lakewood steel bellhousing. Has a non-stock shifter that works fine. Has headers. Has a torker 1 intake and a holley replacement carb (no qjet). These all run and work fine. I am selling because I have several other old Pontiacs and my interest in the hobby is just not what it used to be. I sold a 79TA and I think my buyer was happy with my help and honesty. You need to come look at this car!!! I can drive it to a local shop or body shop and have it inspected if buyer pays. Glad to help as needed. I will see if I have PHS and will post VIN soon. All I can think of right now. Thanks for looking.
