Car description |

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is my beloved 1970 Firebird Tribute SD 455 Trans Am. This car has lots of sex appeal in its 70’s "Brewster Green" paint and black interior! Has a built 468 engine with auto trans. A ton of new parts has gone into this car and I recently replaced the entire suspension with a Pro-Touring Competition suspension which cost over $2,500; see pro-touringf-body.com for product info. This package includes complete upper/lower control arms, competition sway bars, new stiffer springs up front and in back and adjustable aluminum shocks!
The specifics during the recent restoration include the following:
Engine professionally built by 1/4 mile racer Don Jones See; dons-auto.com
Built 468 stroker motor with Eagle stroker kit; (have receipts from Don’s)
Edelbrock Performer Aluminum Heads; (very expensive)
Edelbrock Performer Intake
Quick Fuel 750 CFM multi-adjustable carb; (see youtube for product info)
New spun aluminum racing intake
Custom Diamond 10.5:1 Pistons
Lunati Cam #10510703
PRW Roller Rockers
Petronics Flamethrower HEI
Pontiac Ram Air IV Exhaust Manifolds
Pypes 2 1/2" Exhaust with X-Pipe
Transmission and Differential:
Turbo 400 with 2800 Stall
New Driveshaft
Rear end GM 323 Posi
Tires and Wheels:
New Year One 17 x 9.5 Honeycomb; (NO curb rash!)
New BF Goodrich G-Force Comp 2; F 245/45 R17 R 275/40 R17
New Pro-Touring F-Body Competition Suspension; (have original if desired)
New Pro-Touring aluminum body mounts
New bushings, calipers, rotors, drums and pads
New steering column, carpet, door panels, and door glass
New Retrosound stereo that sounds great
I also have the following recently purchased items costing over $700 in original boxes;
New sub-frame connectors
Beautiful new leather wrapped Lecarra steering wheel with correct black spokes
New matching black center console cover
New center horn button with Firebird emblem
New rear tail light lenses/chrome surrounds with new gaskets and LED bulbs
New spun aluminum racing intake with K and N filters
A few items that need attention are the turn signals and horn don't work; (maybe bad wiring connection as the steering column is new), the hood needs alignment and the rear trunk spring needs replacing. The paint is fresh, being good driver quality period-correct single stage with just a few small nicks here and there. Interior is in super nice shape with new carpet and headliner. This is a nice Bird that is not totally perfect, but most importantly, is not a rust bucket. In fact I can’t find any rust anywhere as all body panels have no corrosion and are like new. I personally prefer the non-numbers cars as they are more fun to modify and build as desired than to just wax and stare at. I am very apprehensive to sell as it is so clean for its age and I may never find another one this nice for under $40K. Only reason for selling is that I was planning on making it into a high caliber G-Machine with twin turbo's, Tremec 6-speed, etc. that would outrun a 2017 Corvette! My list is long and expensive and now considering buying a second home.
Any questions or additional pictures requested...please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks and Happy Bidding!
