This is a Pontiac Historical Services verified Number Matching California 1970 Firebird Formula 400 restified into a Trans Am clone in 1999.
The car has been driven about 5000 miles since 1999.
The engine build was featured in the June 2000 issue of High Performance Pontiac magazine.
The car was featured in the May 2007 issue of Pontiac Enthusiast magazine.
The engine was built by Pontiac Pro-Mod racer Harold Martin and dynoed at 454 ft.lbs. of torque at 3600 RPM and 379 HP at 4900.
The original 400 Trans was built by Jim Hughes at Hughes Performance and has a 3000 RPM stall speed converter. The car has the origianl 12 bolt 3.31 rear axle.
Paint is by Advanced Automotive Technologies in Rochester Hills, I, hese guys paint turntable cars for the big 3. All of the stripes and graphics are painted and buried in the clear coat.
The dash and consol were done by Just Dashes. Carpet is from ACC. Much of the rest of the interior is by Classic Industries.
Full Flowmaster exhaust with correct transverse muffler.
Hidden, emote control stereo with Rare Radio Delete Trim Plate.
Re-chromed original rear bumper.
This is a beautiful car that has won local car shows.
