Car description

1951 PONTIAC 2 DOOR COUPE. Straight eight model. Engine is a straight 8 with lots of power. I was told rebuilt a few years ago. Transmission is manual 3 speed on the column. Clutch and brakes are good. Drives excellent going down the highway with lots of power. I recently had the carburator rebuilt by a professional. Exhaust is in good condition. The donut gasket at manifold may need replacing. Everything under the hood is original except including the 6 volt battery (new one has been installed recently) except vehicle now has a electric fuel pump. Also the fuse box under dash appears to be newer after market i believe. The windshield wiper glass resourvoir is original. However vacuum hoses have been disconnected. I would if i drove vehicle all the time put in electric motor for wipers. Less frustrating. Remember everytime you excelerate you lost power on the wipers? Tires on pontiac are new condition. More of the chrome trim strips is in the trunk. That includes side trim strips, mblems, ct. One item i do not have is the drivers outside mirror. Interior is original. Headliner is still in tact and good condition but fragile. Seat covering is worn and poor to fair. But the springs in the seats are good. Dash looks terrific. The radio was working but stopped recently. (fuse probably not sure). RUST? Yes does have some typical rust spots. One side has been repaired and primed. The roof has been primed. Still needs some body repair on one of the fender wells. Easy fix if you are into body repair. A few dings on vehicle but nothing bad. A few dings on the chrome but personally nothing i would worry about. The floor of vehicle in back area is in good condition. The front floor panel on drivers side is rusted out. I was going to replace the floor on that one side with an after market floor panel. Typical placed to rust. Passenger side has some rust on floor but not as bad. The door panels are rough and need replacing. I then again was going to remove and replace them and reupholster them myself. I could do that easily. Just not into seat upholstery. All the guages on car work. Been using regular gas but i have been told to use high octane instead with no additives. All the glass is in fair to good condition. Drivers side glass is broke but still rolls up and down. A few chips on the two piece front glass but nothing bad. Front end seems very tight. NOTE: The only reason i am going to sell this vehicle is that i no longer have a garage to store it in during the winter months and to work on it. Also been having some health issues. I live in Montana and do not want to store it in the snow outside needless to say. So i am selling it. Whomever purchases it must pick up at my location. I am approximately 200 miles from Spokane area near Missoula, ontana. I will require a $200 paypal non refundable deposit when bid closes. Cash only when you pick up vehicle. No checks or money orders. Cash only. Clear Title i have. Must be picked up within 10 days after sale. So please if you have any questions ask before bidding. PONTIAC was originally i believe lived in North Dakota for years. NICE car to restore. Drive as you restore it. NOTE: I ALSO HAVE THE ORIGINAL SKIRTS FOR THE PONTIAC AND THE FRONT WINDSHIELD VISOR. That is hard to find. This vehicle also has a box of all the rubber new in packages that is for the windows and doors. THIS VEHICLE is 64 years old and does need some body work and interior. But it runs excellent with no problems.
