Mockingbird LaneDallas, exas, 5235Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to showcase this remarkably original & complete 1970 Plymouth Barracuda convertible. This is a true one-owner car purchased bya lady who spent some time looking for this specific car. This is a documented car from day 1 with the original intact build sheet, erti-card and more. The story is the purchaserdesired this particular color combination specifically with a power operated convertible top. She had a difficult time finding the vehicle with her specifications until locating this car. She purchased it and drove it home where it has remained in her possession its entire life. There were only around 800Barracuda convertibles with the 318 V8built in 1970, ery very few were ordered in In-Violet Metallic. This car displays much of the original In-Violet Metallic paint, riginal sheetmetal, nterior, nd drivetrain. It has the fender tag untouched and in place along with the VIN plate and original stampings in known locations. The mileage of 53,232 is correct according to the owner and documentation provided. This is a great old survivor car that runs strong and drives down the road smoothly. The car wears its original wheels & hubcaps, owever the tires have been updated over the years, urrently wearing Goodyear Integrity radials. Enjoy our presentation and feel free to contact Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with any questions. We have the original Certi-Card & the Build Sheet. This car was recently inherited by the son of the original lady owner. Copies of these documents are shown above. The exterior presents much of the original Plum Crazy metallic paint. At some point in the late 1970s, he car had some repair work done to thedriver side quarter panel and blended in with the rest of the finish. There has also been some paint touch-ups on the original finish over the years. The body condition is exceptional. The side moulding is a factory option featured on the trim identification plate. The paint is showing its age with fading and imperfections throughout, owever this car does NOT suffer from the typical severe corrosion issues of the E-Body cars. Thereare some isolated rust areas, etailed in the photographs below. The engine compartment displays the original 318 cubic inch 2bbl. V8, actory rated at 230 horsepower. Power steering was the only option checked for underhood. The original fender identification plate is intact and fully legible. This interior is practically frozen in time. It smells & looks like 1970 in this car. The upholstery shows wear but is intact front to back. There are several decals on this car from long ago, ith a story behind each one. Several original factory decals are also in place as well as chalk markings. The original VIN plate is intact and legible as is the door tag decal. VIN- BH27G0B142731 The dash displays all original gauges and the original steering wheel is in place. The Chrysler Solid State AM Radio is still in place. The trunk is shown above, icely detailed and complete with the original trunk lid decal, orrect trunk mat, pare tire/wheel & jacking equipment. Again, urther inspection of the paint and body reveal a number of flaws and imperfections on this old survivor. The paint has some fading as well. A professional detail and polish could do a lot for this finish. You can see a scratch on the driver front fender and a small ding on the fender, ear the hood edge, hotographed above. The undercarriage displays exceptional original flooring and framework throughout. The rocker panels, nner fenders, nd inner quarters are in good condition. You can see where some work was done on the driver's side quarter panel, nner area had some corrosion. This is a dry climate Texas car and it shows. The 318 engine underside is in great shape as is the TorqueFlite Automatic Transmission and 8 3/4 rear end. This car has manual drum brakes & is optioned with power steering. The base 318 V8 was the powerplant of choice in this Barracuda, lthough you could even order this car in a slant-six engine configuration, new did. The door undersides are solid and intact, eft and right. The white vinyl convertible top is power-operated and intact throughout. It shows very well as does the rear window and frame work. The convertible top boot is also included and intact.
