Just want to start off by saying Thanks to all those who have emailed and showed interest in the Plymouth. Its been overwhelming to say the least. I would like to answer some of the more common questions that have been getting asked about it so far. Yes, he car does run and move under its own power and the transmission goes right into ALL gears with NO hesitation whatsoever. We literally just got it out of its dormant storage and fired up only a week ago and It is currently bottle fed with fresh gasoline from a seperate tank to ensure that no trash (if there is any) was pulled from the original fuel tank. Before the car was ever started the oiling system was primed first to ensure good oil pressure and checked by a mechanical gauge. I do have the keys for the ignition and the trunk lock. The exhaust is rotten and does need to be replaced which most are going to put the bigger 2 1/2 pipes on it anyhow. Some have asked what part number the Carter AVS Carburetor is and the only thing that i see is the numbers on the lower front left by the choke side that read... H8 4618S. The exhaust manifolds that are in the trunk have part numbers 2806900 and 2843992 on them. The Radiator is original 22" inch factory Mopar. It is a Front Drum and Rear Drum brake car which is another reason why i think that this car is very odd and unique because of the lack of many options like disc brakes on a suppposed HIGH class model compared to the base model Roadrunner. Im not sure but i think from the serial number that this is an earlier production car that was most likely assembled in 68 for the 69 model year. RARE??? most likely it is. The bumpers are in decent shape and are not dented or bent. I think that covered most of the common questions. I know that pictures seem to hide imperfections and issues not seen until the day of purchase so i encourage all ... PLEASE feel free to come check the car out in person ahead of time. That way you can get all the numbers off of it that you need to see. Touch it, eel it, ee it, ear it, nd come get a good view of what a time capsule 69 GTX looks like before you bid. If you don't, hen i can only assume that you are perfectly fine with purchasing the car sight unseen and in as is condition. I am in NO way saying the car is perfect or ready to drive tomorrow. It need some work like any hidden muscle car like this will. I dont want anyone to be disappointed in any way shape of form because they assumed it was ready to drive. One persons percecption of decent or good is always different from anothers so please come check it out. You may be very surprised for yourself. This car is 45 years old and it has basically been tucked away for 25 of them which explains the low mileage of 86,976. Its truely a great candidate for restoration due to how complete the car is and it wouldnt take much at all to make it a very good daily hot rod if you aren't going for a full restoration right off the bat. You can save yourself thousands by just doing the few mechanicals yourself and driving it like a muscle car was meant to be driven. And last but not least, YES .. there is a number in mind and that number is 11.
