Car description

The 1965 Plymouth Barracuda had a bold design, and the best ones had V8 power like this example. So while you're looking at plenty of preservation on this coupe, we also love that the paint is vibrant enough to attract the extra attention this Mopar deserves.
Plymouth was responsible for one of the most interesting cars on the road for the mid-60s. It combined a great hardtop profile, fastback style, and the largest wraparound rear window anyone had seen. It also has some of the most interesting sheetmetal lines, and so the upgrade to orange really works here. It's a quality application from later in life, and so you get a nice gloss that helps to highlight how straight this unique sheetmetal is. The trim is complete; the doors close with confidence; and you have sporty details like the Rallye wheels. So overall it's a very vintage presentation that also has some extra boldness. This is the dawn of the pony car ear, and so you want a driver-focused interior. Bucket seats, a three-spoke sports steering wheel, and floor shifter give this a sporty feeling. There's even a period-correct style tach added. The whole presentation feels quite stock, and in fact, most of it gives the impression of a well-preserved originally. There are even nice classic details, like the fold-down rear seats, and the factory AM radio was given period-correct upgrades for rear speakers and an FM tuner.
The best Barracudas received the 273 cubic-inch motor and so it's great to see on the VIN that this was born a V8 coupe. In fact, this decodes to an era-correct block. So while the engine bay received the upgraded paint, it's also nice to have the motor looking so stock. The V8 gives you a nice torque advantage and a proper sound out of the newer dual exhaust. Plus, there's power steering, a three-speed automatic transmission, and wide BF Goodrich T/As to keep this a nice cruiser.
Mopar coupes are always in demand, and so a bold V8 first-gen Barracuda is always going to draw attention. Don't miss this deal, call today!
